New hair style =)

The weather is damn hot lately

so it has somehow forced me to shorten my hair

which I wanted to keep it long.

I found this book finally!!!

This book is about my favourite architect - Tadao Ando.

Haha... It's really a great book.

I am sure I will read every words in this book from page 1 to last page =P

Royal Gold Medal for I.M. Pei

Chinese-born U.S. architect I.M. Pei is the 2010 recipient of the RIBA Royal Gold Medal.

In announcing the 2010 award for Pei, RIBA President Ruth Reed said, "The Royal Gold Medal has been called, often erroneously, a lifetime achievement award. Seldom has it been so true as it is in the case of I.M. Pei.

"At 92 he is that rarity, an officially retired architect," Reed continued, "though there is still work in the pipeline to be delivered, work that will crown the extraordinary achievements of six decades in which he has reinvented the housing, gallery, and commercial building types. He is truly an inspiration for all architects."

Architect as Developer?

I just came across an online article regarding architect as developer.

It is quite interesting whereby the architect doesn't have to look for client

but he himself becomes the client.

Nobody will gonna reject his own design.

Cool huh?

I think I should consider this option in the future :)
